this is a new variation on one of the spacey busts. i have really been liking having the antennae that also turns into legs when you flip it around. even though it is a little bigger i consider it part of the littles collection. they are inspired by that magical realm that kids go into while playing with dolls and miniature toys. there is something special about the dreamy headspace you enter while looking at them. it’s almost like the littles feel bigger than my full sized pieces.i personally love them paired with bigger pieces, the contrast of sizing is nice. they are grounding, centering and transporting. carved out of a single piece of monkeypod wood. i played around with some pigments. one side is a little darker than the other. i was experimenting with new finishes for my last exhibition.
