this piece comes from a thirty year fascination with three of the five cubes that interlock inside a dodecahedron. i first made a version of it when i was eighteen and carried it around in my pocket. there is still something magical to me about the way the cubes and dodecahedron reveal one another through the same form. carved from a single piece of monkey pod wood.
