this is part of my portal buddy series, and also part of the minis collection. it brings together the playful legs with the simple portal form. if you look at the hole, you'll notice a soft film across it. to me, it suggests the veil between the mundane and the abstract. these pieces are inspired by the miniature worlds kids create while they play. the minis are made in small editions. i like the idea of them gathering into little families over time. this piece was made to ground and center you, then transport you into the unknown from that place. carved from a single piece of rosewood.
