this piece is part of my portal buddy series. it mixes a sense of grounding stillness with something playful. if you look closely at the hole, you’ll notice a soft film across it. to me, it suggests the veil between the mundane and the abstract—a quiet threshold. these pieces are meant to draw you into stillness, and from that stillness, offer a passage into something deeper and unknown. carved from a single piece of monkey pod wood.
