this is part of my portal series, and also part of the littles collection. if you look at the hole, you’ll notice a soft film across it. to me, it suggests the veil between the mundane and the abstract—a quiet threshold. these pieces are inspired by that dreamlike realm kids enter while playing with miniature worlds. though small, they carry a presence that feels larger than their size. they are meant to bring you into stillness, and from that stillness, offer passage into something deeper and unknown. carved from a single piece of rosewood.
